Ruth holds these certifications
As a child in the elementary grades, Ruth struggled with reading and reading comprehension. Her 2nd-grade teacher recommended placement in special education reading classes. She felt devastated and didn’t want to go to a different class for reading. She wanted to be with her peers. Her mother spoke to the teacher and asked if she had extra support at home, could they catch her up? Because she had support at home and was determined to learn, she was able to catch up. However, she learned to read by memorizing words; she still didn’t understand phonics or sounding out the words.
In high school, she had a 3.8 GPA and in college a 3.9 GPA. Along with being a college athlete, she was also awarded an academic full-ride scholarship to the University of Wyoming. These grades wouldn’t flag someone with a learning difficulty, but she continued to struggle with reading comprehension and auditory learning. She compensated with ENDLESS hours of studying and memorizing to keep up.
Later in life, she went through a divorce and a bad car accident. She sustained a head concussion and noticed her brain not being able to do what it used to. Focus/attention and short term memory became a struggle for her. She became less social. She often had anxiety.
Ruth heard about Crossinology Brain Integration Technique (BIT) and went to have it done. She went for treatment with anxiety, depression, and lack of motivation and gained so much more in the process. After the BIT protocol, she learned her auditory integration was very low, thus hindering her from learning auditorily in school. After turning on the music in her car when she left the last appointment, she could hear in surround sound like she hadn’t experienced before! She was then able to read and understand what she read. In lecture situations, Ruth no longer needed to take pages and pages of notes to study endlessly later. She could enjoy simply sitting, listening, and learning. Her studying time went down 80%. She felt a lightness, and the “numbness’ emotionally was lifted. Ruth noticed she was less literal and less apt to take things personally. The struggle with attention and focus went away.
Ruth was intrigued by the work and very happy with the results, leading her to go back to school to become a Crossinology Brain Integration Practitioner. BIT helped Ruth recover from divorce, a car wreck, and learning difficulties. She experienced how effective the BIT process can be on someone who has gone through a traumatic experience, along with twelve years teaching in education, and a background in kinesiology... making her a skilled practitioner in the Brain Integration Technique.
